Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized environment. In our HBOT chamber, the air pressure is increased 1.3 times higher than normal air pressure (1.3 ATA/4 psi). Under these conditions, your lungs can gather much more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure.

Your body's tissues need an adequate supply of oxygen to function. When tissue is injured, it requires even more oxygen to survive. HBOT increases the amount of oxygen your blood can carry. With repeated treatments, the temporary extra high oxygen levels encourage normal tissue oxygen levels, even after the therapy is completed.

CANCER

HBOT has demonstrated positive results as an adjuvant therapy. Studies have shown benefits from increased oxygenation observing the weakening of tumors, reduction in tumor's aggressiveness, as well as reducing the side effects of chemo- and radiation- therapy.

STROKES

With the introduction of increased oxygen levels  from HBOT, creation of new blood vessels are stimulated in the brain which benefits the patient by reducing the chance of stroke and, for post-stroke patients, reclaim damaged brain tissue, resulting in increased healing.

INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

A recent meta-analysis was performed on studies of HBOT in inflammatory bowel disease. Studies suggest beneficial use of HBOT in ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. HBOT increases tissue oxygenation leading to a reduction in inflammation and, thus, patient improvement. 

LONG-COVID

Recent studies have shown optimistic evidence in relieving long-covid symptoms (e.g. fatigue, brain fog, chest pains, etc.) with HBOT. These symptoms are attributed to hypoic-caused degeneration of bodiliy tissue. HBOT can both relieve and trigger healing from these symptoms.

ALZHEIMER'S & DEMENTIA

Research suggests that the application of HBOT as adjuvant therapy to vascular dementia and Alzheimer's can provide additional benefits through enhanced cognitive performance, improved gross motor function and ability, and inducing angiogenesis in the brain.

TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES (TBI)

HBOT along with intensive rehabilitation has shown positive outcomes in enhancing the recovery from TBI. HBOT increases brain tissue oxygenation and supresses neuroinflammation, demonstrating healing benefits for those recovering from TBI.

AUTISM

HBOT studies suggest, by reducing hypoxia and neuroinflammation through increased oxygen levels, patients with Autisim Spectrum Disorder can benefit from the reduction of seizure frequency; improved sensory/cognitive awareness and behavioral function.

FERTILITY

Infertility options for women can include medicinal intervention and costly procedures, which can be prohibitive for some. A recent research study has shown potential in HBOT as a possible therapy option by improving the endometrium quality and providing optimal endometrial oxygenation.
